From Dubai to Davos. De oca a oca y tiro porque me toca.
The world´s attention moved from Dubai to Davos, where world leaders met at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting. This year, representatives from the industry, consulting, and policy took the opportunity to meet in a diverse panel discussion where they explored the aspects of how to cultivate trust and innovative collaboration among each other.
What did they discuss about?, how does the industry get into the net-zero direction?, where are the gaps in the current operating model?.

A journey to net zero starts with creating trust, which goes beyond what one can initially expect from inter-sector competitors’ collaboration, moreover, legislators and cross-value chain partnerships add other complexities to the equation as sometimes different languages are talked.
The narrative of the net-zero journey has been centered around the challenges ahead, but I also like to think that the business opportunities ahead are powerful influencing tools. For example, one of the examples talked about during the event, how the new circularity strategies will deliver millions of euros.
And yet, challenges must be reiterated to continue addressing them. Starting with the willingness to purchase from the public moving to the reliability of the carbon footprint data. This industry is still behind in public understanding and technological solution advancement compared to other sectors. Legislation, transparency, and reporting play a key role in moving ahead in the journey to net zero.
