9 out of the 100 Most Influential Climate Leaders in Business to look for

Time magazine has recently published its list of the 100 Most Influential Climate Leaders in Business for 2023. And in the selection of these inspirers, people driving positive action right now just got elevated to the annals of the magazine´s history. Moreover in this inaugural TIME100 Climate, they valued measurable and scalable achievements the most.
I went through this very diverse list of doers, looking for businesses that can make a direct impact on creating a net zero chemistry. Undoubtedly, after applying this extra filter, the list shrinks significantly, and I give the stage to 9 outstanding business leaders. In my condensed selection, I distinguish between 3 business groups, firstly non-profit organizations and networks that advocate to transition to a more sustainable world, secondly different companies that are driving cutting-edge technologies in the carbon capture and alternative polymers businesses. Additionally, there is an extra spot for the consumer goods company that is praised for accelerating the shift along its whole supply chain.
In the strategic race to sustainability, adherence to the reporting, collaboration and accountability networks is fundamental to conveying credible action and creating a competitive advantage for businesses. Moreover, carbon capture usage and storage and direct air capture are technologies where investments still need to land, therefore creating awareness with success stories is essential as well.
In their interview, every individual awarded the privilege of making the list elaborates on what is the single most important action that needs to take place to advance the climate agenda and what effort will gain popularity in the next year, from their unique perspectives and positions. In my opinion, most of them coincide in one way or another and advocate for informed decision-making, the creation of transparency and the need to drive supply chain integrations.
